Camps for Individual Signups
Space Trek proudly offers immersive and engaging camps for future explorers and engineers for all age groups, focused on building real-world skills for the space workforce of tomorrow — while delivering out-of-this-world fun. Camps take place in our SPACE Learning Lab, located within the Center for Space Education at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
Spring and Summer Schedule for 2026 is now out!
2026 Schedule
- Astro Pioneers
- Orbital Engineers
- Space Trek Academy
Grades: 5 to 8
Astro Engineers is the perfect starter program for students ready to explore robotics and rocketry through hands-on missions. Camp begins with programming logic using a beginner-friendly approach, then students code their ExoNaut robots to drive linear and curvilinear paths, complete sensor-style challenges, and compete in team events.
On the rocketry side, students learn the basics of rocket science and the physics of flight, then work in launch-team roles to design and build a water rocket using custom parts. Teams test performance concepts, iterate like real engineers, and finish with a mission debrief and graduation—building confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills along the way. Plus, students explore Kennedy Space Center exhibits linking lessons to spaceflight.
Astro Pioneers comes in 1- and 2-day options, with a choice of Robotics or Rocketry tracks.
Grades: 5 to 9
Orbital Engineers is an advanced, high-intensity track for students ready to go beyond the basics through a true engineering workflow: plan, build, test, iterate, and present. Camp is offered in two specialized versions—Robotics or Rocketry—so groups can dive deep into one discipline.
In the Robotics version, students strengthen coding skills and program ExoNaut rovers to navigate complex courses, tackle mission-style challenges, and compete as a team. In the Rocketry version, students step into launch-team roles to design and build higher-performance water rockets using custom components, apply stability and flight concepts, and improve results through structured testing. The experience ends with mission debriefs, performance review, and graduation recognition.
The students can choose from a blend of options.
Grades: Rising Juniors (High School)
At the academy, students will work on independent teams upon which they assume roles similar to those utilized within the space flight industry, such as Flight Director, Safety Officer, Payload Integration Specialist, Launch Operation Specialist, and Meteorologist.
Taught by aerospace engineers, students will be mentored within each mission task, culminating with the launch of a high altitude weather balloon containing payloads for near space investigation up to 100,000 feet above the surface.
The academy focuses not only upon real-world, technical learning for the future workforce, but also upon strengthening team-building, communication and other highly sought 21st Century Learning Skills to build confidence and resumes for future innovative college and career opportunities.

Camp Information

Arrival/Departure
Drop-Off: Campers should arrive between 8:40am and 8:50am for check-in at the KSC Visitor Complex turnstiles. Campers will then enter the park with our instructors and walk to our SPACE Learning Lab for our first daily mission at 9:00am.
Pick-Up: Parents or guardians should arrive to pick up their campers between 3:50pm and 4:00pm at the KSC Visitor Complex turnstiles. Please ensure your camper is punctual for both drop-off and pick-up times. Our team is committed to creating a safe and inspiring environment as participants learn about space exploration, engineering, and teamwork. Late arrivals and pick-ups impact the experience of all of our future space scientists. If you anticipate being late, please use Remind, call, text or email us using the contact information provided in your registration packet.

Kennedy Space Center and Outdoor Activities
Our SPACE Learning Lab is located within the Center for Space Education at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. During camp experiences, campers may be chaperoned to specific exhibits and experiences within the park. Campers may also be outdoors for rocket launches and other activities, therefore it is important that campers wear comfortable and appropriate attire and bring along sunscreen or other protection for our outdoor activities.

Lunch & Snacks
Snacks (fruits, breakfast bars, chips, cookies, etc.) will be provided in the morning and afternoon, however students must bring their own lunch. Students should also bring a fillable water bottle. Soda and juices will not be provided and should be included in lunches.

Devices
Campers may bring their own devices to the camps, however cell phones may be “off limits” and stored within backpacks or lunch boxes during some portions of the camps. Campers should not bring personal items such as large amounts of money, games, trading cards, toys, stuffed animals, etc. Please note that these items may be confiscated until the end of the camp day if brought. Space Trek is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Instructors
Our Space Trek instructors are experienced and credentialed engineers and educators with out-of-this-world professional experience that will be shared with your campers. All staff have completed a background check and are trained in child development and best practices in safety and education.

Parental Communication
Stay connected with our Space Trek team using Remind! We are also available via cell, text, and email using the contact information provided in your registration confirmation.

Registration and Payment
Payment for camps are due in full at the time of registration. No refunds. Registration costs may be transferred to a different camp within 30 days of the camp for which a camper is registered, or may be transferred to another camper up to three (3) days in advance of the scheduled camp.
